A Literary-Themed Inn Located in the Quaint Historic District of Princess Anne, Maryland

Each room offers a realistic interpretation of a famous author's own room in his or her time. Immerse yourself in the jazzy Harlem Renaissance of the Langston Hughes Room; a 19th-Century high seas adventure in the Robert Louis Stevenson Room; or the romance of Regency England in the grand Jane Austen Room. Relax with a book from the eclectic library in the Mark Twain Reading Parlor. Partake of a gourmet breakfast, afternoon tea or evening liqueur in the charmingly French Cafe Colette.

Enjoy a relaxing stroll through the historic district of Princess Anne, teeming with lovingly preserved historic homes from the Colonial, Federal and Victorian eras. Walk to the nearby Teackle Mansion for a tour of one of Maryland's beautiful historic estates, then meander along the water in Manokin River Park. Take a walk down the quaint main street, featuring antique, coffee and gift shops, eateries and an ice cream parlor serving delectable gourmet ice creams and desserts.

Innkeepers: Elizabeth Alexander is a retired journalist and teacher who now writes books and plays. Peter Alexander was formerly a professional woodworker and furniture maker (his work can be seen throughout the inn). Currently, he is an architectural and nautical draftsman/designer.
